Angular 2 was a complete rewrite of AngularJS, which was later renamed to Angular. The main differences between Angular 2 (version 2.x) and Angular 4 (version 4.x) are that Angular 4 is more stable, faster, and includes additional features such as the HttpClient module for easier HTTP requests, improvements in the CLI, and updates to the core library. However, the fundamental differences between Angular and AngularJS remain.
