In Windows Phone OS, LiveID (now called Microsoft account) credentials are protected by the system and should not be accessed directly by applications. If you need to sign users in or provide them with certain services that require authentication, use APIs provided by Microsoft such as LiveConnect or Active Directory Authentication Library (ADAL).
