iOS 7 AirDrop is a feature that allows wireless sharing of photos, videos, documents, and more between Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, or Mac) nearby. It uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE for discovering devices, and once both devices are discovered, users can choose to share files.
