Three charities have common trustees and currently produce
separate accounts. Can the charity somehow put these
together as a single set of accounts?

Possibly. The Charity Commission may be able to issue a
Uniting Direction (contact Charity Support). This direction
will allow one set of accounts to be prepared. For full
