To disable ActiveX Filtering in Internet Explorer, you can go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level. Under 'ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins', set 'Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for initializing' to 'Disable'.
