While Lambda expressions in Java facilitate the use of Functional Programming concepts such as higher-order functions, anonymous functions, and first-class functions, they do not make Java a purely Functional Programming language. However, they bridge the gap between traditional Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Functional Programming.
