To destroy a hard drive, you can use methods like degaussing, drilling, or shredding. Degaussing uses strong magnetic fields to erase data permanently. Drilling holes through the platters physically destroys the read/write heads and storage media. Shredding the drive breaks it into small pieces that are difficult to reassemble.
