explain how do we do authentication with message digest(md5)? (Usually md is used for finding tampering of data)
Answer Posted / Ravi Singh
Message Digest 5 (MD5) is a cryptographic hash function that creates a fixed-size string, or message digest, from an input of any size. To authenticate a message using MD5, the sender generates the MD5 hash of the message and sends it along with the message. The receiver then recomputes the hash of the received message and compares it to the sent hash. If both match, the message is considered authentic.
