To create a virtual directory on IIS, follow these steps: right-click the web site in the IIS Manager, select 'New' and then 'Virtual Directory'. In the ensuing dialog box, specify the alias (the name of the virtual directory), the physical path to the actual directory you want to expose, and other properties as needed.
