COM (Component Object Model) is a software interface standard developed by Microsoft that allows multiple applications to interact with each other using binary interfaces. COM+ is an extension of the COM architecture that includes features like object pooling, transaction support, and security. DCOM (Distributed COM) is a version of COM designed for distributed computing across network boundaries.
