Answer Posted / Ajay Kumar Pal

Material Planning and Production (MPP) is a method used to plan production schedules based on material availability, while Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is a tool that calculates the quantity of materials required to fulfill demand and schedules their acquisition or production. MPP focuses solely on scheduling production based on available materials, whereas MRP takes into account lead times, inventory levels, and sales orders.
