Why the thermocouple is a transducer an rtd is not a transducer both taking heat as a input and give millivilt and ohms.

A thermocouple is considered a transducer because it converts thermal energy (heat) into electrical energy by generating a voltage proportional to the temperature difference between its junctions. In contrast, an RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) is not considered a transducer since it measures temperature directly through changes in electrical resistance. Although both devices provide electrical outputs (millivolts and ohms), only thermocouples convert one type of energy into another.
