Explain the mechanism of elisa.

Answer Posted / Dheeraj Pal Singh

ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) is a technique used to detect and quantify specific antigens, antibodies, or other proteins in a sample. It works by binding the analyte of interest to an immobilized antibody or antigen on a microplate well. After washing to remove unbound material, an enzyme-labeled second antibody is added that binds to the first antibody or antigen. A substrate is then added that is converted by the enzyme into a detectable product, allowing for quantification of the analyte.
