A Memristor (Memory Resistor) is a two-terminal passive electronic device that shows a voltage-dependent resistance. Its resistance changes based on the history of the current and voltage applied to it. As for modes, a memristor operates in one mode. The advantage of memristors lies in their ability to be used as non-volatile memory elements, allowing them to store data even without power. This characteristic makes them promising candidates for next-generation storage devices due to higher density, lower power consumption, and faster access times compared to traditional flash memory.
