Successive Approximation ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter) operates on a binary search algorithm. It approximates the analog input voltage by comparing it with a reference voltage repeatedly halved, and determines which half contains the exact value of the input voltage. The process continues recursively until the desired precision is achieved. In each iteration, the digital output bit that corresponds to the rejected half is flipped, leading to a closer approximation of the input voltage in the next iteration.
