Mobility of a Carrier refers to the measure of how easily carriers (electrons or holes) can move through a semiconductor material under an electric field. It is defined as the ratio of the drift velocity to the electric field strength. The mobility constant of electrons (μe) is typically larger than that of holes (µh) in silicon due to their lighter effective mass and fewer scattering events.
