The type of feedback used in an Op-Amp Schmitt Trigger is positive feedback. It is a form of regenerative feedback, where a portion of the output signal is fed back to the input with a phase shift of 180 degrees. This causes the circuit to oscillate when the input signal crosses certain threshold levels.
