A bypass capacitor is a capacitor used in electronic circuits to bypass unwanted frequencies or components, such as high-frequency noise or DC offsets. It allows lower frequencies to pass through while blocking higher frequencies. This is typically done by connecting the capacitor between power supply leads and ground.
