The GUI Map is a graphical representation of an application's user interface (UI) in WinRunner. It contains objects, properties, and actions associated with each object. A GUI Map File (VM file) is a binary file that stores the information from a GUI Map for reuse in other tests or for sharing between team members. The main difference is that the GUI Map is a live, interactive visual representation of an application, while the GUI Map File is a static data file.
