The two main types of ledgers used in Blockchain are Public and Private. In a Public Blockchain, anyone can participate, view, and verify transactions. Examples include Bitcoin and Ethereum. In contrast, a Private or Permissioned Blockchain allows only select participants to access the network. An example is Hyperledger Fabric.
