A Professional Scrum Master (PSM) is responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum as defined in the Scrum Guide, removing impediments that might slow down the team's progress, facilitating daily Scrum meetings, sprint planning, and the sprint review, coaching the development team in self-organization and cross-functionality, and helping the product owner maintain the product backlog.
