What is the difference between SELECT and LOAD statements?

In QlikView, the SELECT statement is used to load data from a data source into a table object within your application. The LOAD statement is used to define the structure of the loaded data. In other words, SELECT specifies what data to load, while LOAD defines how that data should be structured.
