Answer Posted / Ruchi Sharma
Two head dresses of the Mauryan period are the Diadem and the Purnagiri. The Diadem was a simple band worn across the forehead, often adorned with precious stones or metal. The Purnagiri was a more elaborate headdress that featured a tower-like structure, made from gold, silver, or other materials, with a large gemstone at the top. Two head dresses of the Sunga period include the Yakshini crown and the Kiritimukha crown. The Yakshini crown is a multi-tiered headdress shaped like a flower. The Kiritimukha crown features a fierce-looking face, representing a mythical creature known as Kiritimukha, at its center.
