In Adobe Photoshop, you can convert an image to black and white while preserving color detail by using the Black & White adjustment layer. To do this: 1. Create a new Black & White adjustment layer (Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Black & White). 2. In the Properties panel, pick the colors you want to preserve. The sliders control the amount of each color converted to black or white.
