Indian Railways have a vast and complex communications network that includes wired, wireless, and optic fiber networks. The wired network spans over 63,500 route kilometers and is used for signaling, telephony, and data communication purposes. Wireless networks are used for mobile services, train control, and passenger information systems. Optical Fiber Cables (OFCs) are used to provide high-speed broadband connectivity between important locations.
