What is REPL in Scala? What is the use of Scala’s REPL? How to access Scala REPL from CMD Prompt?
Answer Posted / Ashish Bhatia
REPL (Read-Eval-Print Loop) is an interactive shell for Scala. It allows developers to write, evaluate, and inspect code in real time. The use of Scala's REPL helps in experimenting with code, testing functions, and getting immediate feedback. To access Scala REPL from the CMD Prompt (on Windows), open a command prompt and type 'scalac -Xscalac:shell' to download the REPL binary, then simply type 'scala' to start it.
