What is the main design decision about two separate keywords: class and object in Scala? How do we define Instance members and Static members in Scala?

The main design decision for separating the keywords 'class' and 'object' in Scala is to provide a clear distinction between regular classes (which can have state and behavior) and objects (which are singleton instances that do not have a state, but can have behavior). Instance members (or instance variables) in Scala are defined within the class body using the var or val keywords for mutable and immutable variables respectively. Static members in Scala are defined as members with the 'val' or 'def' keyword preceded by the 'val' or 'def' keyword, followed by the name of the static member and then the type. They are accessed using the class name instead of an instance reference.
