Explain "overtime"?
Answer Posted / Deepankar Singh
Overtime refers to hours worked beyond the standard workweek, which is typically defined as 40 hours per week. In the United States, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires that overtime pay be provided at a rate of at least one and a half times the employee's regular hourly wage for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek.
