This is achieved through the use of two NameNodes: the Active NameNode, responsible for handling client requests and managing the filesystem, and the Standby NameNode, which monitors the Active NameNode's health and can take over in case of failure. The HA configuration ensures that the system remains functional with minimal data loss.
