Possible connection issues include: 1) Security group rules not allowing incoming traffic on the desired port, 2) Incorrect instance public DNS name or IP address being used for SSH, RDP, etc., 3) Misconfigured key pair, 4) Incorrect region specified in AWS Management Console, CLI or SDK.
