What’s the difference between scalability and elasticity?
Answer Posted / Maheshwar Nath
Scalability refers to a system's ability to handle increased loads by adjusting resources, such as adding more servers. It is typically a planned and pre-emptive process. Elasticity, on the other hand, is a system's ability to quickly and automatically respond to changes in demand by adding or removing resources as needed. AWS services like EC2 Auto Scaling and Amazon RDS provide elasticity.
