Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC) is a measure of the amount of fuel consumed per unit of produced power in an engine or turbine. It is usually expressed as pounds of fuel per hour per brake horsepower (lb/h/bhp). A lower SFC indicates more efficient fuel utilization.
