BHP (brake horsepower) is a unit used to measure an engine's power output at the crankshaft. It represents the wheel torque multiplied by rpm. The bhp value can be measured using a dynamometer, which measures the amount of force required to rotate the vehicle's wheels. An instrument called a horsepower meter or dynometer can be used for this purpose.
