In my current organization, I am part of the team handling major incidents. When a major incident occurs, we follow these steps: 1) Identify the issue and its impact, 2) Assess the urgency and escalate as needed, 3) Communicate with stakeholders about the situation, 4) Develop and implement a plan to resolve the issue, and 5) Document lessons learned for future improvement. A real-life example could be when our website experienced a sudden outage due to a server failure; we worked collaboratively to restore services as quickly as possible while keeping stakeholders informed throughout the process.
