What is the current status of DSS?

Answer Posted / Amol Kumar

The Digital Signature Standard (DSS) is a federal standard for digital signatures in the United States, specifically SHA-1 and SHA-2 with the DSA algorithm. As of now, DSS has been deprecated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and will no longer be allowed for use in newly developed or modified Federal information systems starting May 2023.
