What is the difference between classical artificial intelligence and statistical artificial intelligence?

Classical AI (also known as symbolic AI) relies on rule-based systems, expert systems, and logic programming to solve problems by manipulating symbols. Statistical AI (or machine learning), on the other hand, learns from data using algorithms such as neural networks, decision trees, and support vector machines.
