The main components of a control circuit for a control valve include the following:
1. Sensor or Transducer: Measures the process variable and converts it into an electrical signal.
2. Controller: Compares the measured value with the setpoint, calculates the error, and produces an output signal to adjust the valve position.
3. Final Control Element (FCE): In this case, the FCE is the control valve itself, which modifies the flow rate or pressure of a fluid based on the controller's output signal.
4. Power Supply: Provides electrical power to the sensor, controller, and final control element.
