The opening and closing time of an on/off valve can be reduced by using a faster-acting valve such as a quick-opening or fast-closing valve. Additionally, installing a solenoid valve can also help to reduce the actuation time. Another option is to use a hydraulic or pneumatic actuator with a higher force-to-size ratio.
