It involves analyzing the CPU usage, I/O operations, and memory consumption of the process, and adjusting various parameters like CPU scheduling, I/O buffer sizes, and memory allocation to improve performance. For example, if a process is consuming too much CPU time, you can adjust its priority or increase the number of CPUs allocated to it. If it's experiencing high I/O wait times, you might consider increasing the size of its I/O buffers.
