The main difference between HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) and HTTPS (HTTP Secure) is that HTTP transmits data in plain text, which makes it susceptible to eavesdropping and tampering. HTTPS uses SSL/TLS encryption to secure the connection between the client and server.
