TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) is a suite of communication protocols used to connect devices on the internet. The main protocols in the TCP/IP stack include IP, which provides addressing and routing for packets; TCP, which ensures reliable transmission of data; UDP, which provides fast but unreliable transmission of data; ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol), which is used for error reporting and diagnostics; and DNS (Domain Name System), which translates domain names into IP addresses.
