What is 'collision coverage' and 'comprehensive coverage' in Auto insurance?
Answer Posted / Sarita Chaudhary
Collision coverage is a type of car insurance that pays for damages to your vehicle when it collides with another object, such as another car or a stationary object. Comprehensive coverage, on the other hand, includes collision coverage and also covers damages caused by events other than collisions, like theft, vandalism, flood, fire, hail, falling objects, etc.
