"India follows a parliamentary federal democratic republic system. The President is the head of state and the Prime Minister is the head of government. The Lok Sabha (Lower House) and Rajya Sabha (Upper House) are the two houses of the Parliament. India also has a multi-party system where political parties compete in free and fair elections."
