Satellite networks operate in a wireless environment, covering vast geographical areas where traditional wired networks cannot reach. Unlike Ethernet or Token bus networks, satellite networks use radio frequencies to transmit data, which may result in higher latency and bandwidth limitations due to satellite distance.
