Optical Fiber is a type of cable that transmits light signals over long distances, providing high-speed data transmission with low signal loss. It offers extremely low attenuation and is immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI). Optical fiber cables can support multiple channels simultaneously using wavelength division multiplexing (WDM). However, they are more expensive and fragile compared to twisted pair cables.nTwisted Pair Cable consists of two insulated copper wires that are twisted around each other to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI). Twisted pair cables are less expensive than optical fiber but have higher attenuation and are susceptible to EMI. They can be used for both short-range and long-range data transmission, depending on the quality of the cable and the shielding method.
