Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) granules are synthesized through a copolymerization process involving ethylene and vinyl acetate monomers. The manufacturing process typically includes: 1) Initiation: The polymerization is initiated by a free radical initiator, such as peroxides or azo compounds. 2) Propagation: The ethylene and vinyl acetate monomers are added to the reactor, and the copolymer chains grow through the addition of these monomers. 3) Termination: The polymerization process is terminated by quenching the reaction with a coolant or by adding a chain-terminating agent. The resulting EVA resin is then extruded into granules for various applications. Raw materials used in the production of EVA include ethylene, vinyl acetate monomer, and initiators such as peroxides or azo compounds.
