The Chief of the Planning Commission is the head of India's national development planning agency, which aims to coordinate and implement economic policies. The current position does not exist as the NITI Aayog replaced the Planning Commission in 2015. The Election Commission of India (ECI) is an autonomous constitutional authority responsible for administering elections at all levels (national, state, and local) in the country.
