The refrigeration cycle in an HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system consists of four main components: compression, condensation, expansion, and evaporation. The refrigerant absorbs heat from the area to be cooled during evaporation, compresses under high pressure, condenses and releases heat in the condenser, expands through an expansion valve, and repeats the cycle.
