What are the differences between inviscid and viscous flow?
Answer Posted / Pradeep Kumar Dixit
Inviscid flow assumes that there is no resistance to motion due to viscosity, meaning that fluid particles move along streamlines without losing energy. Viscous flow, on the other hand, takes into account the friction between fluid layers and the resulting energy loss. In real-world situations, all flows are viscous to some extent, but inviscid models can provide useful approximations for high-speed or thin-layer flows.
