Apparent Power (S) is the product of RMS voltage (V) and RMS current (I). Active Power (P) is the real component of the apparent power, which represents the useful or consumed power. Reactive Power (Q) is the imaginary component of the apparent power, which represents the power that is stored and released in the circuit. Different types of lamps include incandescent lamps, fluorescent lamps, high-intensity discharge lamps, light-emitting diodes, and plasma lamps.
